CSS Essentials

This course is the second in the two-course Web Dev Essentials series, and it will prepare you for the WDA™ – Certified Associate Web Developer certification exam.

The main goal of this course is to guide you from having basic HTML knowledge to a level where you can design, style, and optimize web pages using CSS. You will learn the fundamental and advanced concepts of CSS to enhance the visual appeal and functionality of your websites.

This course will prepare you for jobs and careers related to web development. This includes creating and styling web pages as a junior developer, as well as roles in web design and front-end development.

You will:

  • Understand the basics of CSS and its syntax
  • Work with CSS properties and values to style web content
  • Master the box model and implement responsive designs using floats and media queries
  • Utilize advanced layout techniques with Flexbox and CSS Grid
  • Create transitions, interactivity, and animations
  • Leverage CSS frameworks like Bootstrap
  • Work with CSS preprocessors like Sass and Less
  • Implement web accessibility standards
